Jackman’s Waffle Midneck Sweaters Employ Antique Knitting Machines

Founder Mitsugu Tanabe is passionate about baseball and has manufactured stockings, uniforms and gloves for decades. Continuing his enthusiasm for the sport, Tokyo based brand Jackman utilizes antique knitting machines to produce high-quality sweaters and knitwear.

Jackman offers uniform-inspired basics with a distinctly vintage feel and aesthetic and the Waffle Midneck is a signature style. The garment features a ribbed neck, hem and cuffs as well as flatlock seams throughout. The garment’s namesake gets its moniker from the higher mid-crew neck giving the sweater its distinctive look. Coming in Steel Silver, Dark Green and Black, Jackman knits are made in Japan the old fashioned way with an attention to detail that knocked our (knit) socks off.
