Red Wing Heritage and Indigofera Climb Up a Green-Soled Collab

Ten years in a tumultuous industry like ours is an occasion worth celebrating! So Swedish denim brand Indigofera is pulling out all the stops for their tenth anniversary by teaming up with Red Wing Heritage for a festive collaborative boot.

The boot in question is called the Climber Boot and is based off the 1956 Lineman Boots, with all kinds of limited edition features to perk up boot fans’ ears everywhere. The original Lineman boots were laced-to-toe, to give the men working on telephone lines greater stability when they were up high. The Climber has opted for a more modern look, but maintains the same spirit of its ancestor, Red Wing Heritage and Indigofera have also raised the shaft to 8″ and thrown in a prominent heel. The outsole is done by Vibram in a peculiar shade of green that was included in the original Lineman boots. To really seal the deal, they chose the Black Prairie leather; a teacore style that will age absurdly well.

These boots have quite a bit going for them and are begging to be beaten up to get through that black coating and down to the teacore heart of the leather. Unfortunately, only 600 pairs of these boots have been made, so you’ll want to move fast. If you need a beefy new boot for winter that honors a great denim brand’s success, look no further.

Available for $390 at Franklin & Poe.
