Melding New Balance’s normcore classic 997 model with Red Wing’s legendary suede and leather, the two have created something that even your dad will be into wearing. But they’re so nice that even he may not want to mow the yard in these beauties, though he sure could and have those yard lines looking straighter than a yardstick.

The shoes beautifully combine the rough texture of suede and contrasting smooth grain side leather with the 997 white and brick-red rubber soles, these ain’t your standard New Balance sneakers, they’re somewhere between that and a pair of rugged Red Wing boots. Other details include RW branded insole, Encap midsole, and matching laces. You might not be ready for for the first day of school, but in these, your feet will be. The shoes release September 6th.
