Iron Heart Cuts a Two-Tone Selvedge Denim

We all love Iron Heart, but except for some masochists among us, we can’t wear their heavyweight stuff all the time. For those of us less devoted to the heavyweight grind, we’re always stoked to hear when IH drops something a little less daunting.

Iron Heart’s been going back to the drawing board lately with their lightest denim (14oz.) and incorporating their double-twisted weft from their flagship 21oz. denim to ensure that their lightweight stuff can now break in just as dynamically and comfortably. But Haraki-San and co. didn’t just stop there; they’ve gone ahead and done this new, extra-cool denim in an irresistible indigo/black. The warp is indigo rope-dyed and the weft has been sulphur dipped which means that both layers of the fabric can fade to white—if you push them hard enough. But just because the denim is lighter, doesn’t mean that Iron Heart has spared any expense with their legendary construction. Lined rear pockets, tucked belt loops, and heavy poly/cotton stitching will hold up even as the colors in the denim break down.

So far you can score these in the 666 (slim straight) and 634 (straight leg) cuts, but rumor has it there are more fits on the way in similarly-weighted denims!
