Kapital Give Their Iconic Ring Coat the Rip Stop Treatment

It’s hard not to love Kapital. The often-eccentric brand has cornered a very particular segment of the denim market and has garnered a rabid following. And while there is a great deal that the brand does very well, there are certain essential pieces that are integral to the Kapital lineup.

One such piece is the Ring Coat, an unconventional piece of outerwear that marries a number of classics into one fashionable Frankenstein of a piece:  triple-breasted peacoat-esque buttons? Yep. Field jacket patch pockets? Uh huh. Shawl collar with hidden hood? You betcha. The Ring Coat has come in dozens of amazing fabrics over the years, but this fall, we’re seeing it in a rather tame khaki ripstop.

Kapital slightly alters the details of the Ring Coat depending on the fabrics at play and the military fabric used here means they’ve added flaps to the pockets and given the whole design a more serious, field coat energy. But don’t worry, this light cotton outer doesn’t mean you’ll be chilly this winter! There appears to be a cozy wool lining jacket to keep you cozy.
