Sugar Cane Looks to Aged Moleskin For Its French Work Coat

The Japanese label Sugar Cane has never shied away from producing unique workwear and their Moleskin French Work Coat in Aged Khaki and Aged Navy only strengthens their reputation.

A lot of brands have interpretations of short French chore jackets including Sugar Cane themselves. However, while other brands stopped, Sugar Cane ventured onward and adapted the classic design. The results are a three-quarters length work coat that resemble lab or a shop coat more than anything.

Not only do they feature 100% garment dyed moleskin and urea buttons, the coats were sewn on vintage Union Special and Singer Machines making them that much more faithful. Talk about attention to detail. And do I even have to mention that they’re made in Japan? The aged finish on these coats gives them a perfectly worn in appearance and will make sense with almost any outfit on the very first wear.
