Eastlogue Gets Down With Olive Ripstop For Its Utility Shield Parka

Hailing from South Korea, Eastlogue hasn’t become a headlining act in the Western Hemisphere (yet), but in regards to their Utility Shield Parka, my feelings can most accurately be described with the red hundred emoji or maybe the meteor one or maybe even the whale one. Out of respect for clarity, however, I’ll probably just stick with the flame one.

For the record, I don’t own any Eastlogue, but I’m certainly not opposed to the idea—even more so when that idea is a 100% goose down-filled winter stopper that’s been equipped with an almost-imposing number of thoughtful details.

Specifics? Sure. The outer is crafted with what Namu Shop is calling a “Pertex Shield”, which is (apparently) a lightweight, multi-layered material that’s breathable, windproof, down-proof, and water repellent. There’s a dynamic drawstring at the waist to really dial things in when the weather gets rowdy, an oversized hood because why not, two sets of pockets at the front, ribbed cuffs to seal in the heat, and probably 24 other things, but discovery is part of every journey so we’ll leave it at that.

Anyways, now that the weather has turned into a giant middle finger, it might be time to start thinking about a winter coat. And if you are, this seems to be a great place to start.
