Auntie Oti’s Selvedge Denim Jacket Is Hand-Woven in India

If you feel like you haven’t heard of Auntie Oti before, you’re probably right, because neither had we! Their debut piece (at least to us) has us mighty impressed, however.

Hot off looms in homes in India, the khadi denim of this selvedge Denim Jacket is really something to behold. The threads of this black denim are hand spun. And although all the pieces have a red fabric edge, each bolt of cloth will be as unique as the individual who wove it.

Cut into an eclectic coverall style, the jacket is finished with metal tacks and features a jauntily spread out set of buttons. Four large, practical pockets grace this oversized take on a classic.

Though many have done their own take on this silhouette, the Auntie Oti edition takes just enough creative license to keep things fresh, all the while supporting Indian artisans. You can’t lose with this piece.

Available for $300 at Stag Provisions.
