Okayama Denim x Studio d’Artisan Indigo Sashiko Selvedge 6-Panel Baseball Cap

Okayama Denim and Studio D’Artisan are coming together to celebrate SDA’s 40th anniversary, with a hat. A hat you say? Well it’s not just any old hat. In fact, it is a 6-panel indigo-dyed “Kasezome” sashiko fabric hat featuring an adjustable selvedge strap thank you very much.

And just in case you didn’t know (or were pretending to know) what “Kasezome” meant, fear not because I’ll tell ya. It’s the art of hand dyeing yarns into a loose coil and dipping them into a vat of indigo, sort of like hank dyeing. The effect is a yarn that’s dyed to the core while still retaining the original texture.

And if you’re a fade fiend like us here at Heddels you’re already dreaming up how you will fade this thing and what it will look like. Only 80 units of these 100% cotton hats were made so act swiftly!

Available for $98 at Okayama Denim.
