3sixteen Collaborates With Schott To Pull Up a Duo of Chromexcel Horsehide Jackets

3sixteen and Schott’s 4th annual collaboration has lead to two stunning leather jackets:  the Chromexcel Horsehide A-2 and the Chromexcel Horsehide Perfecto.

Did I mention they are made from Chromexcel? No? Well, yeah they are, a tea-core Chromexcel to be exact, which starts off black and exhibits brown undertones as the leather ages from wear. To get you started, the leather has been heavily milled to unlock some of the softness and brown hues making it just worn in enough to look like your favorite leather jacket on the first wear.

Don’t worry though, there is plenty of work left to do in the patina and creasing departments. Just think of it as a preview for what this jacket will look in the coming years.

The Perfecto has been done before but you read that right, the A-2 bomber is being added to the mix this year. Taking inspiration from Schott’s military archive, the duo decided on a classic–leaning cut while adding some cool features like hidden side entry pockets and a custom sheepskin detachable collar.

Both jackets are finished off with nickel hardware and a Japanese plaid lining, distinguishing the collaboration from standard release leather jackets while subtly showcasing these two companies’ attention to detail.
