Stomp The Docks In The Astorflex Boatflex

Purveyors of fine heritage-inspired handmade footwear Astorflex have a knack for taking a classic silhouette and tweaking it just enough to be different, but not too different. The Boatflex is made in Italy using premium materials, the vegetable tanned calf leather achieves its finish through being soaked in water, powdered oak bark, and mimosa.

This approach doesn’t require dyes or color finishes, with water-based adhesives used for the shoe’s assembly. So as well as being a damn good looking shoe, they’re not too terrible for the environment either.

Featuring a contrasting crepe sole unit and classic mocassin construction, you’re getting Visvim Hockney-vibes and high-quality construction for under $200. Hard to argue with that.
