Dawson Denim Introduces a Type II To Its Selvedge Ranks

Brighton-based Denim kingpins Dawson Denim have quickly become a recognized name in the denim scene. Known for their small scale craft production, insane attention to detail and beautifully constructed denim collection, they utilize some of the finest fabrics on the planet and run things out of the beautifully curated retail space and workshop ‘The Garage‘ on the English south coast.

But until now, there had been something missing; a Trucker Jacket. But Kelly and Scott aren’t the kinda folks to release something just for the hell of it. It has to be perfect. And we think it’s been worth the wait. Not ‘just another trucker jacket’ but a classic reinterpreted in a unique and very Dawson type way.

Made from  18 oz. organic cotton Nihon Menpu selvedge denim woven on original shuttle looms, it’s going to have some serious fade potential. The jacket takes the appearance of a traditional Type II but the fit is more akin to a Type III with extra length in the body and side adjusters.

Featuring traditional low set pockets, scalloped cuffs, arc-ed stitching at the top of the button placket and a large internal hunters style pocket in twisted yarn. Strictly limited to a run of 20, Dawson is taking pre-orders and currently has a site-wide discount code that also applies to the jacket (use STAYATHOME20). You’ll need your finger on the trigger for this one.
