Unmarked’s SF-ZERO Sneaker Is Inspired By a Mexican Flea Market Find

Mexico’s Unmarked got the remarkable idea to craft a leather version of a canvas shoe they found at a flea market. Taking inspiration from the past seems to be a good idea, especially when it comes to something like a simple sneaker. And if the Unmarked SF-ZERO is any indicator, good design is eternal.

You’re looking at wet white leather sneaks, accented with brown goat-suede, and fully lined with soft leather. Whether you keep these guys clean or rough ’em up on a daily, they’re sure to earn a unique patina that will see the leather upper melt into a buttery soft hide with deep creases and wrinkles. The leather laces will also be invited to the patina party.

Each pair is made in Mexico and finished with brass eyelets, a veg tan leather footbed, foxing and upper stitch reinforcements, and contrasting red stitching on the backstay.
