Orgueil’s BENZ Leather Belts Are (Literally) Hip

You can never have enough fancy leather belts, they’re the perfect accessory to subtly set off your heritage-inspired outfit, assuming you’re ok showing off a little skin—and I don’t mean your flabby midsection. Leather is skin, after all, and the Orgueil Benz Leather Belt is crafted from leather taken from the hip of a cow.

These waist keepers are made in Japan and available in overdyed black and natural, the latter option giving you the chance to turn years of back sweat into patina. And you better believe that brass heel-bar buckle is gonna collect a patina, too.

We’ve all got a lot of pants, some with more narrow belt loops, and these belts come are a touch narrower than other heritage-themes leather belts,  perfect for those smaller loops. This is the kind of sartorial detail that you can expect from Orgueil, Studio d’Artisan’s outlet for refined and mature garments.

In addition to brass buckles and rivets, we’ve got fish-shaped belt punches, so the leather won’t form unpleasantly around the metal. There’s also a matching leather keeper, grooved edges around the belt, and Orgueil’s maker’s mark toward the tip.

Available for $143 (Camel/Black) at Corlection.
