Trophy Clothing’s 2505 Jacket Is a Type II To Behold

Yesterday, I took a look in my closet and moved all my outerwear around. My deck jacket, my Storm Rider, and Schott A-2 all had to be shunted to the back and my denim jackets came to the front. With warmer weather in store, you’ll likely feel an all-too-natural impulse to renew your lightweight outerwear —which probably means you’ll want a new denim jacket.

Who better to outfit you this summer than Trophy Clothing. The Japanese brand’s 2505 jacket is a faithful reproduction of Levi’s classic Type II jacket, first introduced in 1953.

Trophy’s iteration is made in Okayama, Japan, where the 13.5 oz. denim is woven on the iconic G-3 Toyoda looms. Although this Type II looks a bit longer than the originals, it stays true to the majority of details: two chest pockets, pleats, and no hand-warmer pockets.

Made from 100% Memphis cotton and once-washed for you convenience, this will be a fun piece to fade this summer. And we’re eagerly waiting for Trophy’s first appearance on Fade Friday.
