Blue In Green Adds Chinos to Its In-House Roster

Last year, esteemed denim and menswear retailer Blue in Green released its own in-house denim. For someone like me, who has been a fan of the store for years, this was great to see. BiG’s experience in raw Japanese denim was evident with its premier five-pocket jean, and the same goes for its new BiG02Z Original Slim Chino Trouser in Olive.

These pants are constructed from an olive sanforized and mercerized 100% cotton twill. You may know sanforization, but mercerization is a textile-finishing treatment that improves dye-uptake, reduces shrinkage, and provides a lustrous sheen. This handsome fabric is then sewn up with contrasting threads to create a slim, mid-rise pant with a mild taper through the leg—slim enough to sit neatly on sneakers, boots, or sandals.

Just like BiG’s in-house denim offerings, these pants are simply refined to feature the quality details that matter. In addition to the two front slash pockets, there are two neatly jetted welt pockets at the rear, all of which are lined with the same ecru cotton that also lines the waistband. Each pair is made in Japan and comes complete with a branded woven BiG label, Universal zipper, and additional jetted coin pocket.
