Bouncoura Blacks Out Its Favored ’66 Jeans For Its 9th Anniversary

Boncoura just doubled down with its 15 oz. ’66’ Black Denim, raising the bar when it comes to the dying process. A little context—Boncoura just celebrated its 9th anniversary, and they wanted to raise hell, so they did.

Inspired by vintage Levis, Boncoura is keeping 60s denim alive and well with a mid-high rise, comfy thigh, and slightly tapered leg opening. And if this accomplishment isn’t enough, let’s turn to the pièce de résistance:  the denim.

First, the cotton is pure indigo dyed.  It’s then ‘Sumi-Overdyed’ using tree bark, creating a true black that will eventually fade to indigo. But strap in, because thanks to the white weft, these jeans will fade with high contrast with stark, electric blue creases.

Each pair is made in Japan and finished with a deerskin waist patch, copper rivets, and herringbone twill pocket bags.
