Break Out The Brandy With Viberg’s Calvados Shell Cordovan Duo

Coming in from the cold, during one of my stints in France, I’d be offered a snifter of Calvados. Calvados is a brandy made in Normandy from apples or pears. It warms you right up and pairs well with a tarte tatin.

Viberg has two new styles in their Calvados Shell Cordovan, which imitates the richèsse and chaleur of this famous Norman spirit. The Hackett service boot and the Bastion oxford are exceedingly different styles, but both make use of that legendary Viberg construction and the aforementioned cordovan.

The service boot measures up at six inches tall and features the 2020 last on a Dainite sole. The oxford, on the other hand, is based on the brand’s Balmoral shoes made in the 1960s and look like they’d be at home on the feet of an actual Calvados drinker in Northern France.

Both shoes are available for pre-order and come with a certificate of authenticity, shoe trees, and shoe cream.

Available from $1,310 at Viberg
