Los Angeles based Dr. Collectors was born out of Olivier Grasset’s French roots, his thirst for quality vintage clothing, and his love of artisanal techniques. After relocating to LA in 2005, Dr. Collectors was born five years later in 2010 when Olivier wanted to recreate many of the vintage garments he’d collected over the years, but re-interpreting them with a uniquely individual and handcrafted feel.
With each garment made or modified out of the brand’s LA home, the Grasset family opened the Trading Post Gallery in 2014 to showcase the brand’s wares, as well as a variety of product from cognitive makers, studios and labels. And here’s an example of what they do best – elevated, handcrafted basics.
The Classic Bandana T-Shirt in White does what it says on the tin—applies a bandanna inspired indigo paisley block print onto a 100% cotton tee. Each item is unique and will display ‘imperfections’ in print due to the hand-applied nature of block printing, giving it all the more character and subtleties we’ve come to love from Dr. Collectors.
