Pete Sullivan of Bournemouth, England, has used the same cardholder for the last 5 years, leaving it ready for this week’s edition of fade Friday. It’s from Hornstone of England, a brand I have never heard of but couldn’t be happier learning about now. They specialize in bespoke and pre-made shotgun cartridges and rifle straps but do have non-murder accessories like this cardholder.
The pure vegetable tanned cowhide leather has aged considerably around the borders but owns it well. The edges have sorta smoothed out and curved based on how Pete has used it, and the shape of the wallet’s contents has made a strong impression. Move inwards past the edges and the leather is looking juicy with a lustrous sheen and rich patina.
Battered, bruised, but looking all the better for it, here’s to another half decade.
