Left Field Gives Off Good Vibrations With Its Western Madras Shirts

It’s a tough life—that of an ivy cowboy. Bouncing on the saddle of a horse in the hot sun all day sucks, especially when you lose the polo match. Left Field NYC is living up to its namesake with this out-of-the-quad short-sleeve Western Madras Shirt which fuses the classic Indian madras short sleeve with design details found on mid-century western shirts.

The madras short sleeve was a staple in preppy east coast universities in the 1960s, while what we now dub the ‘western shirt’ was a standard button-down in middle America. Left Field has masterfully spliced these two classic shirts by adorning the Indian madras fabric with curved front and back yokes, western-style pocket flaps, American pearl snap closures throughout, and Japanese chambray pockets and yokes on 2 of the 4 variations.

This shirt is ready for summer on its own terms, born to be a statement but with serious ‘under the jacket’ layering potential for those chilly nights under the stars. Do you even Ametora, bro?
