Obbi Good Label Enlists Dr. Sole For a Duo Of Collaborative Sandals

I’m an avowed sandal guy. For a long time, I wasn’t—a single bar from the first track on a solo album from a prominent Wu-Tang member soured me on them for far longer than I’d care to admit—but I’m back. Do I prefer Birkenstock Bostons? Mostly, sure. But I’ve also got some open-toe footwear options in rotation that have generously been described as “the standard-issue orthopedic shoes for residents of an assisted-living center in space*.” Anyways, these Obbi Good Label x Dr. Sole Cross-Style Leather Sandals aren’t those.

(*It’s a long tagline, but it’s accurate. I love those sandals, though, and I love me some haters.)

Meticulously made from natural vegetable-tanned leather and built with a sitch-down midsole construction—making the rubber outsole replaceable—these sandals also feature a cushioning foam insert inside the leather insole for comfort. They come in both cross and thong styles, both of which flaunt the potential for some serious patina from your daily sandal-based activities. And when Taiwan’s Dr. Sole is involved, you know these will last long enough for you to unlock leather’s potential.
