Viberg Spruces Up Its Derby With Italian Calf Leather For Division Road

Exclusively through Division Road, Viberg is mixing the old with the new with its Ridgeway, Tannino Vitello Calf Derby Shoe. Designed after one of Edwin Viberg’s original patterns, the OG Viberg, the derby is ushered into the 21st century with a lower quarter, improved fit, and French binding.

That’s not all, though, the shoe features Viberg’s newly developed 2020 Cantilever last that grips and hooks with the anatomical shape of the foot. Now you no longer need to lie about your big boy shoes being comfortable – because they actually will be. Especially with that Ridgeway sole.

And if you thought this calf leather already had a vintage look to it, don’t adjust your monocle. The leather is produced in one of Italy’s most exclusive tanneries and achieves a nicely toasted antique finish. This is actually a bittersweet detail because you’ll want them to stay this tone forever, but fear not, the alternative isn’t so bad. Think major patina with daily wear and sun exposure.

And yes, I did consider talking about the Goodyear welting which uses traditional techniques and Viberg’s very own channeled insoles but I decided against it. Seeing as you’re already sold and all.
