Standard & Strange Launches An Exclusive California-Distilled Mizunara Single Cask Whiskey

Aside from slinging mighty fine garms, Oakland based Standard & Strange have forayed into the whiskey world with a super exclusive and unique Mizunara Single Cask Whiskey. With notes of caramelized citrus, fresh tobacco, sourdough toast with stonefruit preserve, fresh cotton, hazelnut, and sweet mint, this Golden Gate Whiskey Co. tipple is bespoke to say the least.

Made in California with the best ingredients available, the shop worked with Rob Easter to source a very rare Mizunura Japanese Oak Cask. Each cask is made from trees that are at least 200 years old which are rarely harvested, so you can imagine they don’t come on the market often.
