Fade Friday – Iron Heart IH-634S (2 Years, Unknown Washes & Soaks)

Just over 2 years in and denim head Benjamin’s Iron Heart jeans are entering their prime. Living in Texas, Benjamin wears his jeans through it all:  fly fishing, camping, projects around the house, and yes, those Texan summers. The result is a perfectly fitting pair of jeans that our lone star describes as feeling like a “casted mold” around his legs. And if this description doesn’t make you want to break in a pair of jeans, I’m not sure anything will.

For me, these fades are reminiscent of those you’d see on battered vintage pairs—washed out all over like the thighs and seat with creases where it counts like the lap and knees. The look isn’t all that surprising though seeing as Benjamin wore his jeans the way people used to—all the time, with no shortage of washes in between.

Only adding to the overall look are the multiple crocks and repairs, most notably the beautiful sashiko repair on the right knee.
