Tricker’s Swings Into Division Road With Its Super Monkey Boot

Seattle-based style kings Division Road not only offer an array of solid garb – they’re also experts in the exclusive welted boot. With a wealth of unique collaborations from Viberg, Whites, and Wesco and in their roster, it’s fair to say these guys know a thing or two about footwear. And For FW20, they’re releasing the Tricker’s x Division Road Super Monkey Boot 5402 in a duo of Chromexcel leathers from Horween.

Northampton-based British shoemakers, Tricker’s, was established in 1829 by Joseph Tricker and has been held in very high regard ever since, becoming the go-to for classic country footwear and a Royal Warrant holder. The Super Monkey Boot bears all the hallmarks of the original dating back to the pre-WWII era but takes on a contemporary street casual look with added adjustments and minor tweaks.

Built on the Tricker’s 5402R last which that has an urban dress shape with a rounded toe, the boot uses Tricker’s Flexi-Welt construction and a European made Vibram Morflex Christy sole. Undergoing 260 individual steps during the production process, the boot features a leather lining, brass eyelets, wood shank, and a cork-filled insole.

With such attention to detail, meticulous execution, and time-honored manufacturing processes, these stompers will last a lifetime of monkeying around—and look damn good doing it.
