Viberg Oils Up Its Derby Shoe With C.F. Stead Calf Leather

Vancouver’s Viberg has been offering its Derby shoe since the 1960s and just like a good leather, it’s a shoe that continues to get better with age. For FW20 Viberg has made some subtle tweaks to an already classic silhouette to give it a more rugged, contemporary look, all whilst retaining its natural sartorial flair.

Made on the 2030 last, the upper of the Derby Shoe is made from C.F. Stead‘s oiled calf hide which has a natural wax applied to the leather that gives it a visible grain, distinct pull up and added durability. Charles F. Stead is one of Britain’s finest leather tanneries and they’ve been in the business for over a 100 years, so there’s nothing but quality here.

Paired with an all purpose black Dainite sole, the Stoned Oiled Calf Derby undoubtedly packs a punch. Featuring blind eyelets, a kip lining and french binding, the devil is (as always) in the detail.
