Filson Introduces American-Made Jeans To Its Ranks

One of America’s longest-standing outfitters, Seattle-based Filson has a heritage and history deeper than most. Founded in 1897, Filson has become a name that is inseparable from quality and hard-wearing goods. Primarily known for its luggage and rugged outdoors wear, the brand is now adding another string to its bow: denim.

Made in the USA, Filson will be offering a high-quality denim collection that includes two initial fits; the Rail Splitter and the Bullbuck Double Front Jeans. The Rail Splitter is Filson’s take on a classic five pocket jean and is made in the USA from Italian-milled denim. It features a metal shank button, zip fly, rivet reinforcements at points of strain, double-layer reinforced rear pockets, and a leather logo patch. The selvedge version of the Rail Splitter is made from Japanese denim that has been woven on vintage shuttle looms and retains all the hallmarks of the aforementioned Rail Splitter.

Lastly, the Bullbuck Double Front Jeans borrow the identity of a traditional ‘double knee‘ work pant with rugged reinforcements to the leg front. Designed to take a beating, they’re a jean that needs to be put to work. When toughness is a must – you might as well have the best.
