Iron Heart is bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase “salt and pepper” with their 10 oz. Mock Twist Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt in Green ‘Salt and Jalapeño’ and Western Shirt in Red ‘Salt and Cayenne’. Usually coming in a speckled gray and white color, Iron Heart has injected some heat into the classic mock twist workwear fabric which was originally celebrated for its durability and ability to hide oil and grease stains.
Fast forward to now and messy ketchup and relish fans can finally rejoice. These shirts were made in Japan using the aforementioned mock twist Japanese selvedge chambray and feature all the fixings you’d expect from Iron Heart like chainstitch run off, and selvedge cuffs and button placket.
The work shirt uses triple-needle construction and cat-eye buttons to help you look the part of a mid-century manual laborer while actually living up to the part if duty calls. Same deal with the design of the western shirt and its mother of pearl snaps throughout. These ain’t no poser shirts.
