Arguably the kings of “no one: x:” meme templates in the denim community, Naked & Famous is back with Purple Core Selvedge in its classic Weird Guy cut. However, the joke is ultimately on us, because each time they drop creative jeans, the denim public can’t get enough, and this time is no different.
These 12.5 oz. selvedge jeans may start out looking like your standard pair of raws, but unlike your average pair—where white/natural cotton yarns are roped-dyed indigo—these clever jeans use reactive-dyed bright purple yarns which are then rope-dyed in indigo vats.
As you denim detectives can probably guess, this means that as you wear these jeans, the indigo yarns will eventually chip away to reveal some grape infused fades. Cut, sewn, and made in Canada, the jeans feature contrasting stitching, a dark blue pull-up leather patch, and silver metallic buttons and rivets.
