Haven’s Premier Converse Collab Utilizes Gore-Tex® and Calfskin

Wet socks suck so much. Like, I’m fully aware that there are serious things happening in the world and that excess foot moisture doesn’t really rise to the level of those things, but that doesn’t change the fact that getting your socks wet is like giving your outfit arthritis. And as far as preventative measures go, you could rock with some Wellies or some Ducks or maybe even those Alyx shoes with the clip-on Transformer sole, but you could also just keep things super simple with the Haven x Converse Gore-Tex® Chuck 70 Hi.

The first collaborative effort from the venerated footwear manufacturer and the powerhouse Canadian retailer, this mad functional redux took the classic 70 Hi silhouette and retrofit it with a premium suede upper, a leather-wrapped mudguard, heel- and toecap, nylon taped heel pulls, a raised black outsole with a black foxing stripe, a customized “Haven” heel plate at the left shoe, AND a GORE-TEX® membrane that provides both waterproof and breathable protection — keeping them toes warm and dry all winter long.

Did the 70 Hi seem like a ripe candidate for a Gorped out makeover? Not exactly, but let’s not fight a good thing.
