Benzak Develops A New 18.5 Oz. Proprietary Denim With Kurabo Mills

The Netherlands has become a hotbed of activity in the denim industry during the last decade, especially the country’s capital, Amsterdam. From being home to some of the world’s largest denim brands to hosting industry events and giving birth to Denim City — a multi-purpose denim-centric space housed in an old tram warehouse — the city knows a thing or two about denim. And so do its inhabitants.

Founded in 2013, Benzak Denim Developers has gone from strength to strength as they find themselves as one of Europe’s leading independent denim brands. With a focus on contemporary fits and mighty fine fabrics, BDD has built a loyal following by consistently being innovative and ahead of the game.

The Dutch denim heads have released their Special #4 fabric in partnership with famed Kurabo Mills in Japan. Weighing in at 18.5 oz., the fabric is deep-dyed and will lend itself to high contrast fading. With a fine weave and tight construction, they’re going to take some breaking in but we’re assured the results will be worth it.

The 100% cotton fabric features a light blue selvedge ID and will be available across the three garments in the BDD collection; B-01 Slim jeans, B-03 Tapered jeans, and the BDJ-01 Cowboy Jacket.

Available for €205-319 (~$246-384) at Benzak Denim Developers
