Epaulet Issues Its Rivet Chino In ‘Mink’ Sashiko

Any good retail sales associate will tell you to go fit first, fabric second. But every once in a while, you don’t even have to choose. Sometimes you can have it all!

Such is the situation with this edition of the Rivet Chino from L.A.’s Epaulet. The fabric, which they’re calling sashiko mink, is a woven sashiko cloth with all the texture and nuance of a traditional hand-sewn sashiko repair. A slim-fitting chino, the cotton sashiko cloth will have plenty of play and allow for great airflow, giving them an almost sweatpant feel.

The fabric is garment-dyed, which simultaneously gives it its deep, rich brown color, and softens the whole thing up. An extremely wearable fit with a comfortable, unique fabric, we can always rely on Epaulet for premium basics with a sexy sartorial spin. Oh, and they’re made in Downtown Los Angeles Another box ticked.
