Freenote Cloth Issues Its Belford Jean In 14.5 Oz. Kaihara Mills Denim

Freenote Cloth dipped its legs into straighter-leg jeans back in 2019 with its Belford Straight and just one look at this 14.5oz. Kaihara Denim edition will make you wonder what took so long. Seriously, the shape of these jeans is awesome. Let’s break it down.

Basically, the top block has been increased, the thighs have been opened up so they’re almost as straight as the leg opening. Not only does this create a timeless cut that works with genuinely everything, from boots to sneakers, greasers to software engineers, it means Freenote was like “big thigh guys, we see you and you are valid”.

Using custom 14.5 oz. denim from Kaihara Mills in Japan,  these USA-sewn jeans feature a copper button-fly, rivets, and button tacks, Japanese herringbone pocket bags, a Red Wing Heritage leather patch from S.B. Foot tannery, all of which indicate elevated attention to detail.
