Jelado’s Winchester Jacket Is a Nod To 1970s East West Co. Leathers

The United States of America has always been a land of plenty… plenty of famous leather jacket brands. But not all brands have lasted through the ages. For every Schott, there is another, lesser-known brand, nearly lost to the sands of time.

Thanks to Japanese heritage-aficionados, Jelado, however, we can get a taste of the East West Musical Instrument Company‘s killer wares. Their Winchester Jacket was a big seller in the 1970s and here it is, back in all its glory. Cut from Buffalo hide in Japan, this pebbly leather features loads of groovy 70s details like its rather zany pockets and western yoke. The entire piece is lined with cupra, for a super buttery feel on the body.

A concealed pocket on the collar provides a place for your totally legal stash and the whole ensemble is just dying to be worn out on your first night out on the town (post-vaccine, of course).

Rumor has it, that if you say ‘Janis Joplin’ 5 times into a mirror, this jacket appears. If that doesn’t work, it’s available for $2,850 at Clutch Cafe
