Post Up In Warehouse’s Latest Footwear Venture

Inspired by the famous footwear worn by the US Postal Service, Warehouse & Co. has taken an already recognizable silhouette and upped the ante in a typically Japanese fashion. One of the most iconic pieces of utilitarian US footwear from the twentieth century, the Postman is sleek, versatile and understated.

Suitable for pretty much any occasion, having a pair of these in your wardrobe is a must if you’re into the whole workwear look. Easy to pair with washed or raw denim, chinos, military fatigues — or even shorts — it’s almost a crime how adaptable these shoes are. In true Warehouse fashion, the Postman has been redefined and subtly reinterpreted by Japanese craftsmen to include a three-quarter length cushion insole, re-shaped toe box, and stitch down construction.

What really elevates this simple silhouette is its 1.3mm high-density full-grain cowhide uppers, which have a lustrous sheen similar to shell cordovan. With a black uneven dye, the leather will develop a beautiful patina and elegantly age like a fine wine.

Whether a daily driver for the office, semi-formal for Friday night drinks at the bar, or footwear for your cousin’s second wedding, the Postman Shoe will be a faithful companion.
