Benzak Takes The Slub By The Horns With Its BDD-516 Heavy Slub 16 oz.

I moved to Amsterdam almost 7 years ago, for a few reasons – no. not that…or that. Once I’d settled in, I realized quickly that there’s a lot more to this place than just green leaves, red lights, and yellow flowers. The love and appreciation for all things denim-related really runs deep, and this has naturally led to an influx of locals channeling that passion into high-quality output.

Benzak Denim Developers is a fine example of this, founded in 2013 with a strong focus on creating high-quality, made to last garments, this segues perfectly onto their latest offering, the BDD-516 Heavy Slub 16 Oz. jean. These are a slim fit with a high rise, snug thighs, and slim tapered legs. For all those Benzak maniacs out there –  this fit ideal if you want something higher than the BDD-006 or a slimmer fit to the BDD-711.

As the name suggests, these beauties are constructed from a 100% cotton 16 Oz. Japanese selvedge denim, woven by Collect Mills with slubby yarns for that added texture which opens up a realm of fade potential after that initial break-in period. The list of details on these is long but in addition to the awesome fabric, the standout details include the bull horn arcuates, Italian veg-tan leather patch, and 8 Oz. indigo-dyed chambray pocket bags.
