Fade Friday – Samurai S710XX (7 Months, 2 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Chris in the US just raised the bar to an annoying height with this speed run of the Samurai S710XX 19 0z. For the last 7 months, he’s mostly been wearing them to work as a machinist which, although not listed, must be a 24 hour, 7 day a week job – because these jeans put many longer worn jeans to shame. Machinist industry, prepare yourself for an influx of denim head applications with cover letters simply stating they’re “here for the fades”.

The specific wear pattern of Chris’s jeans suggests a few strategic level-skips. The crease lines are as pronounced as a pair thats been worn for much much longer but the surface area of the jeans are still relatively dark which creates a unique contrast. The whiskers on these jeans seem to go on for miles, starting way up the top block, basically at the waistband and flowing all the way down to the knees. The honeycombs are pretty basic — if you’ve had you’re jeans for half a decade — but remember these cave-like echo-chambers were created in less than a year!
