Samurai’s 10.5 oz. Type 2 Western Shirt Is A Cut Above

This clearly isn’t Samurai‘s first rodeo, I mean, just take a gander at its 10.5 oz Type 2 Western Denim Shirt.

Constructed in Japan with single needle and chain stitching, the denim to thread contrast is a sight to behold and will only get more interesting when the sky blue dyed indigo-dyed denim wears in a little bit. But this shirt is no one-trick pony. The exposed silver selvedge detailing along the side gussets, inner seems, and back of the cuffs is an easter egg that adds a pop of shine to the darker shirt.

When it comes to pockets, well, I think they are the best thing about western shirts actually, and Samurai delivers with a ‘not too sharp n pointy, not too dull’ design. However, its the Blade-Star snap buttons that would win the best in show at the 4-H, for me. Another instance of unique flair without losing the integrity of what a western shirt should be.

So, whether traveling by horse and buggy and working on the farm or hover boarding to your open plan tech start up, do it at the intersection of classic style and modern influence. Whatever that means.
