The German Denim Demon himself, Kilian, is back with an update on his Iron Heart x Self Edge SEXIH22-301s and unlike my writing, his jeans have aged extremely well.
After more than 7 years and 800+ total wears, this is what we’re working with. If indigo tumbleweeds existed, their home would be on these jeans, that is until they too faded away. In the absence of indigo, the remaining crease lines have turned into dramatic pockets of darkness, especially around the front and back of the knees and shins.
The graininess, which was a highlight the first time around, is back and grainier than ever. Seriously, the texture is like a denim Seurat. If you’re wondering what the secret is, I think Kilian might tell you that consistency is key. He’s still working, hiking, and of course partying, and he does it all, in his jeans.
