At this point, Nigel Cabourn has gained “national treasure” status in England, and become a mainstay in global menswear with his consistent output of military-inspired garments that always deliver on heritage details. And I’m guessing I don’t need to give a little spiel on Vans, one of the most iconic and recognized footwear brands that has transcended too many cultures/subcultures to mention.
A collaboration between these two giants has been long overdue in my eyes and it does not disappoint. With heritage in mind, it was only right that NC did his thing on the Authentic and the Slip-on within the Vault line, 2 of each, with all 4 featuring that solid Vans vulcanized sole paired with rugged canvas uppers, soft leather lining, and peppered with subtle details throughout—peep that USN stamp on the toe of the Authentic.
There’s something for everyone with half the pack sporting a classic two-tone colour blocking and the other half opting for more out there but still very wearable patterns.
