Some collabs are simply too good to ignore. The famous collab between chocolate and peanut butter in a Reese’s peanut butter cup for example. Or the iconic collab between primary colors blue and yellow that made green.
One such collab is between Arpenteur and Paraboot. These two legendary French brands are titans in their own right, but their inevitable partnerships are always exciting. Perhaps it’s because the younger of the two, Arpenteur, always encourages Paraboot to experiment? This year they have a chukka boot for us in a black, as well as in tobacco suede.
Basically a high-top version of their Chambord shoe, the upper has a slight moc-toe detail, three eyelets, and a Norwegian welt. Set atop a proprietary sole, Paraboots are beastly shoes that just get better with age. I’m not always a chukka guy, but this is wayyyy too good to ignore.
