Arpenteur Utilizes Woad for Its Eddie Pants

Woad! Arpenteur just added the Eddie P Woad Indigo Pants to their collection of thoughtful modern garments with details that you just don’t see every day.

Woad dye, for example, it’s an indigo-hued dye from old-world Europe- ever heard of it? It’s a flower that can be dried and used as a dye, in varying shades of blue, just like Indigofera. These two pairs of pants give you a pretty good idea as to the range of blue you can achieve with Woad, and it’s safe to bet that yes, woad fades just like indigo does. And you’d better send us photos of these when faded.

The Eddie pants are double-front pants with contrasting double-knees (on the light woad pair), zipper-fly with a buttoning waistband, curved slash pockets on the front, coin pocket, patch pockets on the back, all sewn up with contrast single-needle stitching and bar-tack reinforcements. All of these workwear details are offset by the rarely seen shade of indigo, making the Eddie Pant easy to style. More Woad, less woes.
