Arpenteur’s Loft Jacket Is The Puffer-Deck Jacket You Never Knew You Needed

We, as fashion and history nerds, always love to see an unexpected combination of references. Often these sartorial experiments go awry, but every now and then, one really does it for us.

Arpenteur has one such triumphant combination, seen here with their Loft Jacket. The resulting jacket is an ingenious combination of a classic puffer or vintage ski jacket with that military repro-classic: the deck jacket. The outer is made from water-repellent nylon and insulated with Primaloft goodness. A shawl collar and loop button closures cement the N-1 vibes without getting too old-school or making the piece look “costume-y.”

Made in the brand’s homeland of France, welted hip pockets with an interior pocket round out the piece, and merino wool cuffs add one last dash of spice and luxury. This jacket sold out entirely last year – and we can see why. Hurry up and grab one for yourself while supplies last.
