Raleigh Renders Its Jones Jean In White Oak Legacy’s Proximity Mfg Co. Selvedge Denim

True Cone Denim may be all but gone but its spirit lives on in Raleigh‘s latest creation – the Jones OGMP.

This special take on their most popular cut, which is slim-straight, well-tailored, yet easy goin’, features denim from Proximity Manufacturing Company, a Greensboro, NC-based textile producer that weaves cloth on vintage Draper X-3 fly shuttle looms on the original hardwood floors inside the White Oak Cotton Mill. And if this provenance wasn’t enough -it just so happens that this is the inaugural run of cloth. So not only could you not get closer to an original pair of denim from back in the day (unless you know Doc Brown,) but there is only one, first run.

So what’s the big deal anyway? Well, let me break it down for you, this fabric is made from 100% US-grown, ringspun cotton yarn and will end up weighing in at around 13.6 oz. *Denim nerd trigger warning* It features DL-3 Tinted Weft Indigo Denim, 3×1 RHT, and is packed with 20/2 ringspun tan package-dyed yarn. So go ahead, be a part of a historic run without burning a calorie.
