Buzz Rickson’s Reproduces The Aviation Associates A2 In Jungle Cloth

Using the design of the USAF A-2 Bomber and the fabric of the USN N-1 Deck Jacket – amongst other USN Garments- Buzz Rickson’s has created potentially the greatest WWII jacket that never existed: the ‘A-2 Deck Jacket’. Officially known as the Aviation Associates Jungle Cloth A-2, this jacket harmoniously combines the iconic shape and details of the bomber jacket that won the hearts of pilots and civilians alike over the years and one of the most durable fabrics of the war effort. And the results speak for themselves.

Jungle cloth, as the fabric is known, is a super dense, famously strong cotton, and will develop great wear patterns over time. From experience, it feels like you’re wearing drab cotton armor — so not only does it look good — it can hold up to whatever you throw at it. Drape that on a clean silhouette with two flap snap pockets, epaulets, 100% wool ribbed cuffs, and it simply does not get better.

Made in Japan, it’s wrapped up with a MIL Standard nickel Finished Talon Zipper and can conquer the air, sea, and everything in the between.
