Denimio Pays Homage to Its Thailand Division With Limited Samurai Denim Collaboration

Limited to 200 pairs, the Samurai x Denimio S710GXK-DMTH 17oz. Thailand Edition Tight Straight jeans are an indigo ode to Thailand unlike any other. Samurai and Denimio have collaborated on many sweet jawns before, but this limited edition Thailand jean strikes us as one of the most thoughtful, and — like any pair of Sammys — the devil is in the details.

The back pocket flasher includes a cosmic elephant, which Thailand celebrates as a symbol of fortune and bravery. In the foreground (and on these jean’s waist patch) is a Samurai pitted against a Muay Thai fighter and if that’s not a good representation of this collaboration, I don’t know what is.

The 17 oz. fabric takes inspiration from the Book of 5 rings “Wind” model, which used natural green dye. Just look at the weft of these jeans- if you buy these, you would be crazy not to cuff them. The green is echoed on the back pocket arcuates, rendered in Samurai’s iconic shape.

Talking of iconic shapes, this limited edition is made up in Samurai’s mainstay 710 fit, a slim-straight silhouette that has been popular for as long as most denim heads can remember. Each pair comes complete without a gold selvedge ID, a limited edition drawstring bag, and ships with a commemorative coin purse.
