Ian in the UK is doubling down on his Double RL Slim Fit jeans, letting them have it for 2-and-a-half years.
These meat and potato fades are needed every once in a while. A subtle solace in an otherwise unrelenting storm of high-contrast fades. Ian has clearly worn these hard but without any conscious fading regime, which gives these RRLs a nice, authentic look. These are how Ralph would want ’em to look!
To start you have some whiskers starting to breathe on the lap, which b have a great shadowy quality to them. This makes it easy to spot some daily essentials from our Ian, like a ghost phone in the front right pocket and two circular items that have imprinted themselves into the raw selvedge denim. The knees are definitely the most worn-in and act as a marker of this great denim evolution, especially with that light blue ring around the bright center.
The honeycombs ’round back are thin but plentiful and stretch out up the thigh and down the calf. More mystery object imprints in both back pockets finish off these jeans that Mr. Lauren himself would be proud of.
