Roll Into Your Next Adventure With Handy’s Roll-Top Backpack

The backpack is an item that can sometimes, in fact, often, be over complicated. Sometimes you just need to go back to basics with a simple design and use of high-quality durable materials—the Handy Roll-Top Bag does exactly that.

The brainchild—and self-confessed side hustle—of Lesli Larson and Tom Bonamici (of the now-defunct Archival Clothing), this bag really encapsulates Handy’s ethos and aesthetic. Sewn with care in Eugene, Oregon, and made from a very tough deadstock 16 oz. Scottish beeswaxed canvas, the bag features one spacious main compartment with (as the name suggests) a roll-top closure, you also get 2 exterior side pockets and one small inside pocket.

The main front strap is veg tanned leather with dense mil-spec English cotton used for the load-bearing straps, all finished with brass hardware- all of which have amazing potential for amazing patina over time. The back panel is even padded with marine-grade closed-cell foam for maximum comfort whilst achieving said patina.

Pre-orders for a very limited run of these are open now at Handy priced at $268
