It ain’t easy being a fashion-forward vegan! Even though the world has come so far and offers more and more animal product-free options, there are always holdouts and voids in the market. If you’re a vegan sneakerhead, you’re very much in luck today.
New Balance has just announced their classic 990v5 “Made in USA” sneaker in a new vegan-friendly style. Where the original uses suede, the new version substitutes vegan leather and a slightly altered colorway. A great-looking sneaker in its own right, the vegan ‘990JS5’ has enough subtle differences that sneaker hoarders all over the world are going to be competing for this one. A draw has opened on End Clothing, where you can compete for a pair, but I, as a non-vegan, will be stepping aside in hopes my vegan brethren have a better shot at securing a pair.
A great new colorway, a newly-colored V logo on the heel, and vegan leather; but, hey! Don’t hog a pair if you wear the regular ones! Unless your new year’s resolution was to join the V-gang.
